Leadership St. Tammany Board Now Accepting Applications for Class of 2018

Leadership St. Tammany is now accepting applications for the next leadership class, graduating in 2018. Interested candidates may apply on our website. The deadline for applications is April 30, 2017.

Leadership St. Tammany is a community-focused leadership development program which identifies existing ad emerging community leaders and facilitates public involvement. It is a nine-month program that provides and enhances leadership skills and fosters increased knowledge of St. Tammany Parish through presentations by community leaders, enhanced by group discussions and on-site exposure. Topics include a number of areas in which we face future challenges. Some topics include education, social services/health care, political/ community activism and economic development/planning & growth.

The program is an independent organization strengthened through an affiliation with Southeastern Louisiana University. Leadership St. Tammany’s graduates hone invaluable skills as well as a heightened sense of responsibility and civic concern. Our goals include identifying emerging community leaders and involving them in public affairs, helping participants identify individual leadership styles and infuse innovative techniques, creating an informed and committed network to utilize as a qualified leadership source and motivating, encouraging and inspiring participants to pursue leadership roles in our community.

Past Leadership graduates include numerous elected officials, community leaders and business professionals throughout St. Tammany Parish.
